- Details of Event
- He was sent by his father, the undermanager, to clean some rope pulleys upon the engine plane near a pass-bye and after doing this got down on of the main rope for a full train as it left the passbye to ride outbye. Shortly after he was found about 80 yards out-bye beneath the ninth tub of the set, the first eight apparently having passed over him, and he died as was liberated. Riding was contrary to rule and exceedingly dangerous.
