A shot had been fired in the, gate end and a considerable quantity of roof had been blasted down. When the shot-firer examined the place he noticed that the newly exposed roof was shot-shaken and unsafe, in one place. He pointed this out to the deceased and his fellow stallman and ordered them to set a prop before removing the stone blown by the shot. They disobeyed this order, and deceased was working under the dangerous roof when it fell and fatally injured him.
