- 9 March 1933: Crushed Between Waggon - While crossing the railway line at Furnaceyard Pit, Bo'ness, yesterday, Barbara Ure (16), pithead worker, 92 Kinneil Road, Bo'ness, was seriously injured by being crushed between two waggons. She failed to notice workmen coupling waggons, and passed between two which closed in on her. She was removed in an unconscious condition to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. [Scotsman 10 March 1933]
