Details of Event

A large fall on a main haulage level had been cleaned up and temporary timber set. Under cover of this timber, deceased was assisting to erect the permanent timbering, when a stone fell from above the covering bars and struck him on the head. He died in the infirmary on 1st October from septic pneumonia, brought on by injuries received.
