He was injured by a fall of roof in his own working place, and died the same day. The maximum distance, stipulated on the notice posted, under Additional Special Rule 6, at which roof supports were to be set had been exceeded by deceased to allow of his throwing down his coal between the row of props more easily. A long stone fell from between the props so set.
