Details of Event

He was pulling a set of 12 empty tubs and a tram loaded with rails, to which the haulage rope was attached, into a pass-bye with his pony, when he stumbled and fell. Two of the tubs passed over him and caused such injuries that he died at Mexborough Hospital the same day.
