Details of Event

A hewer fired a compressed powder shot in a headways direction from the bord, and holed into a headways at the moment when the deceased was at the face. The headways was fenced off. Deceased was thrown backwards, and was buried by a fall of stone following three planks which were knocked out by the shot. The hewer was unaware of the accident, and deceased was found about one hour after the shot was fired.
