He was assisting to set a prop under the end of a steel girder supporting the roof of a road, and, while doing so was standing under a wooden bar 6ft. away. As soon as the prop under the girder was hit to tighten it a fall of roof occurred, breaking the bar under which he was standing and displacing the girder.
