A heavy bowk was lowered violently on deceased by the winding engineman, who had mistaken his position in the shaft. The engine was provided with a proper indicator and was found to be in perfect order after the accident. The accident can only be attributed to a fit of abstraction on the part of the winder, who had not been allowed to wind since. He was 50 years old and had been a winder for over 30 years. 2 killed.
